I have a SONY PS-X6 XTAL-LOCK Direct Drive Stereo Turntable that I'd
like to use to transfer some old vinyl LP's into my computer.

The cartridge says "V15 Type IV", and the stylus says "VN4G".

Should I replace the cartridge and the stylus, or just the stylus?

What is the best replacement stylus at a reasonable price? And is
there a good online source for it?

Thanks in advance.

This is an old Shure cartridge.

If the cartridge is not damaged, there is no reason to replace anything
but the stylus.

Shure will sell you one. They will also give you a trade-in on the
newest V15 model if you should decide to upgrade.
