Hey tomshardware!

I'm looking to get a new gaming headset, however I require that it must be able to run from the USB only. (Can't be USB + Jack/Jack only) Installing software drivers and the like is no problem.

I plan on getting it from Dick Smith's. I'd like the headset to be pretty big since I have a pretty big head :).

I was considering getting the Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 or the Razer Kraken USB?

Thanks in advance!

The Gamecom 780 is going to be your best choice, it may not look as good as the other guys but it has the best sound quality. As for what Vembutech said i didnt have a good experience with the Kraken 7.1, tons of static, switching problem with Synapse, etc, but one thing ill say with the Kraken 7.1 is its build feels nice but the sound doesnt. There is also a newer and model of this called the 788, see if you can find it in a nearby store and get it if you can.

Plantronics Gamecom 780 - http://www.dicksmith.com.au/pc-peripherals/gamecom-780-gaming-headset-dsau-yg10373

Hope this helps!
