Hey guys, not sure what the best subforum for this question is..

As the "computer guy" my friends come to me for all their tech questions.. so now I'm being asked to help a buddy who wants to put a TV on his patio. It'll only get watched a couple hours a week (MNF!!)

He is ok with having to watch the same channel as another TV (I suggested a coax splitter) but I'm wondering if there are some more elegant methods that would avoid running a cable from the interior of the house to the backyard?

Something like this perhaps? But I'm not sure how well they work. Slingbox seems like overkill for the relatively short range (about 30 feet and two walls).

If There are all sorts of wireless signal senders. HP has a particularly nice one that is 179. Both devices need USB and HDMI. Otherwise, you can just search by the type of signal you want to send.
