[citation][nom]jacekring[/nom]I don't think he was talking about the quality of our water, but over the quantity of available fresh water in the U.S. Ever have a drought in your area, with water use restrictions? As we consume more and more water on a regular basis we will start having droughts more often, and they will be more severe. Our fresh water comes from rain, which then goes into our lakes, rivers and Aquifers (underground lakes). We then pump and filter that water, there is only a finite amount there.[/citation]
um, no, a drought is not because we use watter, its nature isn't giving us any. and no, i never lived in an area that had drought conditions like that. and for areas that do use lots of watter, i cna see investing in watter purification plants being a good use of money, so there is a higher watter turnaround.
and with the Aquifers, that is more of a problem because of farming.
the way to solve that would be genetically modified crops that produce higher yields per acer, they are safe to eat and if everyone used them, we may have food enough to feed the world.
