Bitcomet taking to much resorces?

i have got this problem. when ever i start a task in bitcomet, my CPU and memory usage goes of the wall, in the sens that if i play a movie while downloading the sound becomes fizzy.

4 GB ram
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz, 3003 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
windows 7 ultimate.

i have got a clean system(according to avast)

so what could be the problem? i just upgraded my system, even my old system didn't slow down like this when i was downloading.any suggestions?

when bitcomet active use global download Rate 200 make Direct I download E/Firefox from site slow down,
maybe your Bitcomet set Unlimited..!

I found the problem. internet protection was scanning my network traffic including P2P traffic, seeing as how i was downloading at 1.5MB/s, all the incoming and outgoing packets were being scanned. so the CPU was handling scanning and downloading/uploading
