Bizarre error: laptop recognizing different GPU

Something really bizarre suddenly happened to my laptop. It has a Geforce GTX 850M, which I use mainly to play old sim racing titles. Yesterday I noticed that the game running on very low fps, so I started the device manager and it said that I own a Radeon HD 8670M, which is really confusing. Anyone has any idea of what is happening?
