black screen and stand by light flashes 3x and stop then repeats it

i have a sony kdl-40v3000. i turnit on and the green light comes on for 10 second a black screen the whole time. then it switches to the red stand by light which flashes 3 times and stops then repeats it over and over again. How to fix?
