Black screen problem

Hi! One day my acer laptop turned white. After forums and videos I opened the computer from the inside ( not sure what i really did) and the screen turned black instead of white. I'm not experienced with computers at all! I have taken out the battery and pressed the power button and no results. I can hear the fans working when it is on but it just stays black. Someone please tell me what to do it would be so much appreciated for school!!
