hi i was wondering, i got a blu ray player for my pc and a moniter that claims to be full 1080 hd but the picture looks funny like its not as sharp as it could be. So my question is if i were to buy two hdmi adapters for my vga card and moniters dvi-d inputs and an hdmi cable would it fix the problem?

Not sure of the answer but I expect not.
I thought the video hardware needed to support HDCP for you to get full resolution output. Plus, the VGA card probably can't pump out the required video bandwidth.

If your monitor is not 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 native, then the video will be "down sized" to 1600 x 900 (or whatever is the highest 16:9 ratio resolution the monitor supports). This will cause loss of image quality.

Also if you have a 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080, but you set the desktop resolution to be less than that, then you will also experience loss in image quality.
