I'm using a Linux-based video editor (Blackmagic Resolve) that requires an editor-specific PCIe card for output (sux but there it is). The good news is the card offers HDMI. The bad news is I need an RCA/headphone jack connection to connect my speakers.

My monitor uses an HDMI connection to my current GPU, but, of course, the monitor doesn't have an audio-out connector. Of course. :-/

How do I strip audio from HDMI and connect my speakers to the audio feed with an RCA or a mini-phone jack?

An added sound card won't help in this particular case. Blackmagic requires the use of a proprietary card (DeckLink Mini Monitor PCIe card) to get audio, via HDMI. (Insert nasty comments about BMD here) Which means the Amazon box or the HDMI selector about the only workable option.
