Broken Keyboard Cannot Turn On Wifi With F12

Hi there,

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 Core i5 laptop, silly me spilled a drink over the keyboard and now I am unable to turn the wifi on using F12.

I have tried using the on screen keyboard but to no avail.

Any ideas would be great

use a reg keyboard from the usb port or order a replacement keyboard online. there should be oem units on ebay for 20.00 or so for most laptops. it take 5 min or so to swap out. the hardest part is uncliping and cliping back in the keyboard cables on the laptop system board.

I have tried a USB keyboard and tried F12 but to no avail as regular keyboards dont have the FN key in order to activate the wifi.

the alt or control plus f12 on a full keyboard should work. also check that the laptop wifi on/off switch on the bottom of the laptop is on.
