Browser crashes on specific searches

Hi, I have a problem with every browser crashing when I search for specific keywords like "adw", "adware" or "rogue" for example. It happens to every browser and I can't seem to find the problem. I can't open cmd or adwcleaner in normal mode but I've run then in safe mode. I've used Malwarebytes, hitmanpro, adwcleaner , windows defender, Avast, eset, sanitycheck, tdsskiller and many more programs but it hasn't helped. I can't find anything about it when I search for it on google. Does anyone have an idea of what or where to find the malware program blocking me?

Hi, had the same problem today, and fixed it with malwarebytes. I had an adware that wouldn't let me search for those rogue, adw, or adware. I let malwarebytes scan my computer, but i did deactivate my antivirus software during that time, as there were some problems between those two. After a restart my browsers were fine again.

Had the same nasty issue just today. I updated Malwarebytes and did a scan. Success. I didn't stop there though. Searched and installed Adware cleaner and it did find a lot more adware and neutralised that too. Now just need to be less stupid when on the internet

malware running will prevent such searches....intentionally.

Put Malwarebytes on a USB stick, name it notepad, if necessary....

I've have a go w/ Roguekliller64 portable (also from USB flash drive) as well.......; a lengthy scan, however....

I'm having the same issue as OP and like them have already tried using malwarebytes so please stop suggesting it.

This malware is really starting to grind my gears and I'd love some help.

Alright, I've managed to finally fix this stupid malware. I have no idea what step actually fixed it, but I'll say everything I did anyway.


    ■ I restarted my computer in safe mode with network access (w10)
    ■ I installed adwcleaner, malwarebytes, hitmanpro and roguekiller64 (all free)
    ■ I restarted my computer in safe mode without network access
    ■ I ran each one of these as administrator via right click context menu
    ■ I created a shortcut to malwarebytes on the desktop
    ■ I restarted my computer
    ■ IMMEDIATELY after startup, I ran malwarebytes in admin mode via right click context menu. It had 12 detected threats end up quarantined


I no longer have the issue of malwarebytes or any of these scanners crashing upon opening, nor the one of chrome/etc crashing when searching for malwarebytes etc.

Hi lollol2828, i've have the same issue as yours today and after a while i can fix this. I hope it useful for you: i downloaded Malwarebytes for window by my Android phone and synced it into my drive cloud, then i start my computer, immediately i open and run Malwarebytes, it worked!!
