Hello. My requirement is to bypass the TV's internal speakers completely and by default play all audio through the home theater - whether its Netflix, Plex or Cable TV. I am not entirely sure but I have read that a Toslink cable may be the solution.
I have this TV - it has a Digital Optical Audio Out port: https/www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/h5203
I have this Blu Ray home theater system that has an Optical Audio In port: http/www.lg.com/ca_en/home-theater-systems/lg-BH7430PB
Will the Toslink cable be compatible and the desired solution? And, is this a static plug and play solution or will I need to routinely change TV sound settings?
Thanks for reading.
