I have my cable modem in my bedroom and have installed a two way splitter with a direct hookup to my TV with no cable box.
I'm getting alot of low signal strength on some of the channels. Most work fine but some lose picture every little bit either going black screen or switching to another channel then back. The signal is great in the living room but I have a cable box on that one.
Basically it's wall --> surge protector --> splitter --> TV & Modem (or router whatever it's called)
Can I use an amplifier? What type is best?
Not looking to spend another $15/mo for a 2nd box on a TV I watch maybe 45 minutes a day.
