I bought a Microsoft wireless 900 desktop keyboard a while back. Unfortionatly I broke the blutooth device to it so I bought a new generic one thinking it should work to connect with that. However, I´m having no luck. I can´t even seem to detect the keyboard through the new bluetooth adaptor.

Does anyone know how to fix this or have any ideas for a sollution?

Then the computer seems to not be the issue. Perhaps the adapter is. I would suggest trying it through a different device and see if it will register it. And then try it with the keyboard on a different device.
It is completely possible that the adapter doesn't work with your keyboard. Have you checked to make sure it will? Universal doesn't always mean universal.

ok, I will try that. Unfortunately it's at my late mothers house and I'm now back home. It will probably take a few weeks before I go back there at the moment, but I will try it on my laptop then to see if it works and I will also bring another adapter that I have laying around here at home.

I'm planning on giving the comp to my dad once I get it working again so I appreciate the help.
