Depends on the phone. Android phones should be able to do that, although it might take an extra step or two. iPhones can't do that.

you should be able to use the headphone jack and plug into the microphone jack if you have one. my dad does this at home with his ipod and needs no other software. just presses play and it comes through the speakers like a mic would.

and the iphone will do this, just through itunes. i have been doing this since the first one. itunes will show you what's on your iphone and you can play it from there as if it was on the computer.
