i7 is a computer chip. I think you mean iPhone 7.

If the MP3 player has bluetooth, it may be possible, but I recall that bluetooth for the iPhone is only for the iPhone to play music on other devices.

I doubt that you can do that.
You might as well just transfer the files to the phone. One less thing to carry around.
