its a http://support.hp.com/br-pt/product/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5082212/model/5113867/troubleshooting/ it have only 3gb ram. everytime i have to go to some game i have to close the browser(chrome) cause the pc use like 90% of all ram memory. if i upgrade(if its possible, of couse) to 3gb to 8gb, i believe it would make a huge diference. someone can help me and see if my notebook acept the upgrade?

Solution
I noticed the the speed difference when I upgraded my dual core intel cpu to quad core intel cpu. gpu is the cpu & as it is on the spare list then can upgrade your cpu to quad core. check hp site to make certain you have the latest bios installed 1st before doing the cpu upgrade.

I couldn't easily ascertain if it was a 32 bit machine, or 64. Can you check?

Yes, it is up gradable. You may also consider an SSD. That would make a tremendous difference in the snappiness of the system too, as well as facilitate a clean install of the OS. HP laptops are laden with performance-sucking bloatware, and a clean install on SSD is always my first suggestion (even before RAM) to breathe some new life into laptops.

I upgraded my ram to 8gb. its very fast now! some sites, like twitch takes a while to load, but many things are faster like changing game to desktop, or the search for software in metro(i use win 8.1). The guy who did the job discored that i can change my gpu a well! he saw that in this link
http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02842252.pdf im thinking about to buy a used a8 3500m. its a good upgrade go from a dual core to a quad core. what do you think? its really possible to change the gpu? please analyse the link and confirm to me.

Its kinda not much related to the question, but here we go. My actual cpu (a4-3300m) has 1,9 GHZ. This quad core cpu(a8 3500m) has
Frequency of 1500 GHz and Turbo frequency of 2400 GHz. Whats this turbo frequency? Since it has 4 cores, since if its 1500 ghz instead of 1900 ghz(2 cores)(my actual frequency) so the note will be faster right? Since dual core would be 3,8GHZ and quad would be 6,0 ghz. 2,2 ghz it really worth the change? My experience with cpu its like very poor.

i know. i was talking about the diference with the sum of my actual cpu(that is dual core) 1,9ghz +1,9ghz= 3,8Ghz and the cpu i want to buy(that is quad core) 1,5ghz+ 1,5ghz+1,5ghz+1,5ghz= 6ghz.
6,0ghz-3,8ghz= 2,2ghz. Or 2,2 ghz of gain right? thats how it works... or am i wrong?

so im still in doubt if this new cpu will work on my pc. i ask a salesman about it, and he was in doubt if this cpu (a8-3500m) will work on my notebook. he said that the only way to know... was looking on my chipset was on the board itself, and for that, he need to open it. that information is true? im not 100% sure if this cpu will work on my note.
