So basically, I was going to get the Sager NP9750, but then saw that they had a i7-4820K processor, but I had a i7-4960X lying around, so I'm asking if it's possible to switch in my CPU for that specific laptop. Thanks in advance!
Do you mean the NP9570? The NP9750 comes up as an AMD Athlon X2-based laptop.
The NP9570 uses a desktop LGA2011 processor, according to the specs, so it could work. I'd be worried about the extra heat of 2 more cores, though, since laptops tend to run a bit warm without upgrades.
YES! Thank you! I KNEW something was fishy when everyone said it was outdated on other forums! But I should be able to take it apart and back together all right, correct? And I think I'll put the copper cooling upgrade.
