Can't start my Acer aspire e15, orange light flashing but won't turn on

I just cannot switch it on. It doesn't have a removeable battery and have tried holding down the power switch for 45 secs but absolutely nothing, is there anyway I can reset it. It's not very old and hasn't been used much, just completely stuck ! Thanks.

Hi yes was working fine before, have tried taking out the power lead to drain power and replugging it back in, but no response at all.

ok. try taking out the charger from laptop press hold the power button 30sec put it back in and press power see if that works

Thanks have already tried this, with the power lead out and with the lead in, absolutely no response.

in that case its a faulty hardware problem.

Hello...OK I have done a few of these lately ....all with the same result...A faulty ddr3 ram ......killing the CPU and leaving the laptop with 5 blinking amber lights......both the GFX_CORE line and
CPU_CORE lines where short circuit......both controlled by the CPU. When I removed the CPU the short circuit was also removed.

As this is a motherboard fault not everyone will know what to do to check the faults, And it might not always be the same problem.

So... After removing the short circuit, could you put the cpu back in and the computer work just fine?
