Hey Tom'sHardware,

I once had Office 2010 Starter on my computer, and I am trying to install Office 2010 Professional Plus. However, a while back something went corrupt with the Starter version, so I manually removed the folders to remove the application. Now when I try to install 2010 Professional on, it gives an error saying that it will not run with Office click-to-run, and I need to remove it. So the question is, how do I remove it?

Thanks!

Already tried that, to no avail. It said it had an error while starting?

The error is "This 64-bit product may not be installed with Microsoft Office Click-to-Run. Remove Microsoft Office Click-to-Run and try again." I will have to try the troubleshooter and the registry uninstall later today.

Alright, so I was able to remove Office Click-to-Run and then i encountered error 1935 while installing Office 2010, so I am uninstalling the .net framework and then installing after it finishes.

Alright, so now I have hit another dilemma. Net Framework 4 was causing error 1935, and so I uninstalled. But trying to reinstall, it encountered the same error. After force removing the registry and installer application using the Microsoft tool, I attempted reinstalling the .Net framework. But it would not finish, and say that it had encountered an error. It seems that .Net framework is the only component missing from the installation of Office. How do I stop getting error 1935?

Thanks!

Got the net framework removed, system file checker yielded no problems. With the error 1935 the Microsoft website also suggested turning off Windows search in the service config file while uninstalling, so I did, and it finally installed!
