Can't upload my movies to windows 8 have CTG error. Own Cannon SX50HS

When I try to view my movie it says wrong format. Tried to change format without success. Is this something with windows eight

What program are you using to view the movies? According to the Canon site the SX50HS records "Video: MOV (Image: H.264; Audio: Linear PCM (Stereo))".

You should be able to view the video with QuickTime, VLC and other programs.
Is there more to the error message? If yes, please give more details.
