Certain keys not working

Out of nowhere yesterday some of my keys stopped working. My g, h, backspace, esc, * on numberpad, 8 on number pad, windows key and ' just stopped working. The weird thing is when I press g+h and f at the same time, it will type jf. Te same ting goes for all the keys in the same column as j on my keyboard. (g+h+u types ur, g+h+7 types 74, g+h+m types mv). Ive tried a hard reset, removing and reconnecting the keyboard cable, and now Im not sure what to do.

The laptop is an hp ts 15.

I wasnt able to since there were no restore points set.

have you done this? "Shut down the laptop, removed battery and cable for a moment, press and hold the start button for 60 seconds... and replace the battery.. start the laptop."

it was the first thing i tried

uninstall the keyboard in device manager & restart the laptop.

it didnt seem to fix anything.
