Change Screen Image before Home Screen image?

Can I change the Galaxy Tab 4 - 7" modern "Swipe Screen" Image to my own image? Can I use a jpeg or gif format and any instruction links to explain how to change the file? Tks, D

If you go into your device settings, there should be a menu labeled "Wallpaper" that lets you change the home screen image. In that same menu is an option to change the "Lock screen" image, which is what you're looking for. It should give you the option to use an image from your gallery.
