Charger was plugged in but not charging

When i turned on my laptop i realize that my laptop is not charging. I checked the plug as it's still new. Everything was plugged in and powered. The charging indicator light is not on as well. What should I do?

If the device is really new (like just bought) then I would contact the place you got it from and have them get you a new one or new charger cord. If it isn't that new, then I would check to see if it is the charger cord or not.

Turn off the laptop and try charging it then and see if it works. If yes, then you need a new cord. If no, then it could still be either the cord or the battery.
