check cable connection! PXE - MOF: exiting intel PXE ROM

my laptop suddenly switched off while using, i thought of small problem or may be battery problem. but it goes on blinking when i restart it. i tried to boot it but its showing " check cable connection! PXE - MOF: exiting intel PXE ROM..what to do ??
need suggestions.. i will thankfull for the valuable suggestions.

I would remove the hard drive with the laptop off, power and battery removed, put the HDD back in and see if it helps.

It's trying to boot from your Ethernet port. When you turn the computer on, enter your BIOS setup and look at the Boot options. If your hard drive is not listed, it's probably because it kicked the bucket (meaning you'll need to replace your hard drive). If it is there, then just arrange the boot order so that your hard drive is listed as first in the list.
