compaq presario cq42 cannot on

hi,
i have compaq presario cq42 and my problem is when you press start button, light at the power button and wifi button(F12) is on, but the screen was blank. and the light still remaining on without any blinking or flashing..already try to press delete and F1 button but still not function.. please help me..im very depressed..

Maybe a dead screen, can you see anything on the screen at all even if it's dim? Are all lights on solid after you turn it on? You can try removing the battery, unplugging from wall power, hold in the power button for 30 seconds and see if that will get it to turn on.
