Like the title says I took my cover off and tried to turn it on, my gpu lights are on but nothing else runs

I have a gigabyte ga-h110m-a mobo
Asus strix Radeon r9 390 gpu
Intel i5-6500
Evga supernova 750 watt 80+ bronze

I don't have a cable to connect it but would it work if I connected my fan controller to the psu and fans to the controller and did it that way

I tried to do it with the fan controller and nothing happened psu fan didn't start neither did the fans so do I need to get a new psu? And I thought since when I have it plugged in my gpu lights up why is that?

If disconnecting the 4 pin power cable from the motherboard, connecting a case fan to the board and starting it, does the case fan spin?

Could you be a bit more specific as to what you mean? Also how would I test my motherboard to see if it's dead or not

Leaving the 24 pin power cable connected to the motherboard, but disconnecting the 4 pin one. Connecting a case fan to the motherboard. Starting the board. See if the case fan does spin.

Okay thanks I'll try this once I get home, but what is this suppose to test?

The case fan didn't turn on although when I have my keyboard plugged into my mobo USB port it'll light up

Alright looks like I need to buy a new board, should I unplug everything in it and take the cpu out or is it safe until I buy a new one

Alright thanks for the help I'll take it in in a couple of days, for now should I unplug everything and take the cpu out or is it fine to leave it in for now
