Connect my old Sony surround soundDAVFC8 to my new LG SK8000 tv

I want to connect my dated Sony surround system DAVFC8 and my spectrum box to my new LG SK8000, is it possible and what do I need?

TV has optical digital audio output and surround sound has optical digital audio input so you need a Toslink digital optical audio cable.
Check the TV manual on how to use the optical output. You may need to turn it on and turn the TV speakers off.
Select the video 2 audio input on the surround sound and set the surround mode to Dolby.
