I have a question.....suppose i want to have two connections from a single set top box
->TV
->Computer attached with a TV Tuner

Now i am using a hathway set top box which has a COAX Input and with two outputs COAX and AV
The AV connections are already connected to my TV.
Now here are my queries....
1.Can i use the other output port(COAX) to connect to my TV Tuner
2.Can i watch different channels simultaneously on both media devices
3.Will i get all the channels.
Please respond at the earliest as i cannot stand the shitty serials my grandparents watch daily..
Thank You!

Solution
1) If your TV tuner is the right type (satellite, DVB-T, HFC Cable) for what you're connecting to. All three are run over coax, but need different receivers.

2) Yes.

3) If the TV is subscription-based, your computer probably won't be able to decode it unless you buy a second plan from the TV company, or maybe sign up for another set-top box - it may depend on their policies.

If it's satellite TV, there may be free content transmitted from the same satellite as paid subscription. You won't get paid content without, well, paying for it.
