Hello, hoping someone can help as I'm totally out of my depth. I have an RCA model RLED4627 A-B. It has no optical connection. It has 3 HDMI outlets but none say ARC. I bought one of these HDMI converters https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06VVTQY8D/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and one of these converters https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003O509PY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I hoped one would work. So far I've got sound coming out only for TV using the HDMI converter but there is no sound for any of the other HDMI outlets that connect the Apple TV or the DVD player. And I can't bring up the Yamaha soundbase set-up screen. Could anyone walk me through what I should be doing?

Solution
Not sure how you can use the HDMI audio extractor with the TV if it doesn't have HDMI-ARC. The DAC doesn't help either since the audio extractor already has analog audio out.
You could connect an HDMI input selector to the Yamaha. That will give you sound from the Apple TV and DVD player. The HDMI out of the Yamaha connects to the TV for video.
If the TV has an analog audio or headphone jack you can connect that to the Yamaha analog input for sound front the TV tuner.

Okay so I would need a multi-hub thing like this? https://www.amazon.ca/Portta-Switch-Switcher-Picture-support/dp/B00I19TZ0I/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1509410186&sr=8-6&keywords=4+port+hdmi+selector

The tv has a coaxial outlet as well as a headphone jack. There's also an outlet that says PC Audio as well as audio out and AV audio in component jacks. I bought the two different HDMI converters thinking that I would need one if I didn't have HDMI arc. Clearly I don't know what I'm doing.
