cpu-->dvi to hdmi for onkyo --> hdmi to tv

I have cpu with dvi port and connected to onkyo receiver with hdmi and receiver to tv with hdmi but could not get any picture and sound.

1) DVI cannot output sound. You will need a separate wire (or a converter for audio+dvi -> HDMI)
