Can I upgrade the cpu in a laptop? we can answer yes if that cpu is a socketed cpu


there are 2 type of socket

PGA https/it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pin_Grid_Array

LGA https/it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Grid_Array

both are/were used in laptop mobos. today many ODM/OEM use BGA cpus like U, HQ, HK cpu (soldered)
