CyanogenMod Update Help!

Hey guys, so I have an HTC Inspire 4G and im running jelly bean. I want to update it to Kitkat. So I saw here: http/www.ibtimes.co.uk/htc-desire-hd-gets-android-4-4-2-via-cyanogenmod-11-based-nexus-5-experience-kitkat-rom-1441377 That its possible for the Desire HD. And I know these phones are identical except that the Desire HD is for Europe or something. So my question is, will it work for my Inspire 4G? If you look up the specs for each phone their identical. But I just want to be sure it will work so I don't brick my device. Thanks ahead of time!

Looking at the Cyanogenmod download page, there's only one version for both devices, so you should be good.

But then again what the link is wanting you to download is not an actual Cyanogenmod product, so I'd be wary and do more research.

No, same specs do not mean same phone. A lot of Samsung phones have the same specs and many people have hard-bricked their phones flashes other phone firmware.

I found one for Gingerbread, but not KitKat.

I'm looking at this, but it hasn't been updated in a while.

That's why I edited my original post to say that the ROM the site is talking about is not an actual Cyanogenmod product (it's based off Cyanogenmod 11). I'd be wary and do a little more research from some place like the XDA developer's forum.
