DDR3 Laptop Ram - 2gb+4gb VS 2x4gb

Hi

I have HP G62-460tu notebook. Now I have one 2gb ram installed in my notebook. but I'm looking for upgrading ram. I want to know does it any performance difference between if i install one 4gb ram, then total will be 6gb or remove the 2gb and install 2x4gb rams ? Whis is better ?

2x 4GB because it is 2GB more. Other than that, there's no other basis for comparison based on just what you wrote.

Whenever running dual channel memory, it is always recommend to have the same type and capacity of RAM in each slot.

Either way, 8 > 6. More is always better.
