My laptop wont power up. As soon as I press the power button it comes to life as though it is starting up then the screen goes black. The fan is on when pc is on & stays on when pc screen goes black. I have to turn pc off to stop fan.

Hi, try to go in the BIOS. Also if you could plug an external monitor.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am in the BIOS, am I supposed to do a diagnostic? I cant connect a monitor at present, as I dont have access to one until I get home.

OK, try booting in safe mode.
