Dell Inspiron laptop problem with display pxe mof

i have an Inspiron laptop that displays message PXE-MOF Exiting PXE ROM no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key-

not computer savvy- PXE_MOF

Sounds like it isn't detected the hard drive.

Turn on the laptop. Right when it turns on keep pressing on and off the F2 key. You will get to the BIOS.

Look under the machine info section and see if it detecting your hard drive.

now it has went off completely just nothing

unplug AC adapter, remove battery. How power button for 30 seconds then let it sit for another 15 with no batter or power cord. Then plug in just the power cord and turn on.

so when you power it on you get nothing? no lights or anything? does the fan turn on?
