Hi all
My Mom needed windows 7 put on her Windows 8 preloaded Dell and my cousin deleted all partitions, including the recovery one to do it. Things like the USB are not picking up correctly I think because this machine was designed to run on windows 8.
I need to get the Windows 8 back on. Is there a way to get the laptop back to original? There is no CD key on like the old days just a windows sticker. If I had the key I would just DL the image, copy to a USB stick and reload.
There are no backups or anything like that. I don't suppose the is a magical installer that can setup a Dell laptop from scratch, creating partitions and all that?
I am not totally useless but by no means a PC wizard either. Is there a way to do this or must it go back to Dell?
