Dell Studio1747, One USB port not recoginzed warning

Hey All, My Dell Studio 1747 laptop has 2 USB ports, one works fine and the other died. I can actually get by with one, my problem is the constant pop-up warning that "Your USB device is not recognized". I went to device manager and found an unrecognized device so I disabled it but I still get the pop-ups about every 10 seconds. Any other ideas?

I'll suggest cleaning the USB ports. Blow them out with compressed air, I'd suspect some conductive foreign material has gotten into one of the ports.
