Did I burn my screen by plugging the wrong cable plug or did I damage the motherboard. The laptop works with an exterior monitor.

Hi,

If it's working fine using an external monitor that could only mean that the build in LCD has been damaged already. First to try is to make sure that the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard is seated properly. Take the cable off on both ends then put it back in making sure everything is seated properly. If this will not work unfortunately the only solution would be to replace the LCD itself.
