DISH Joey, etc or ROKU?

2 SMART TVs and 1 older, rear projection, 42+ main Sony WEGA tv (no HDMI plugin)- Dish Network... upgrade DISH to Joey, etc. OR ROKU? I'm 69 and disabled.
 
Depends on your viewing habits.
If you watch TV in a more traditional way then the DISH upgrade makes more sense.
If you use the smart TVs to access internet video a lot then the Roku will give you more access to more streaming services.
The Roku will involve you setting up the "channels" where the DISH set up doesn't require anything on your part.
You can also consider a device with KODI installed. This allows you to access thousands of free streams. You can usually find android boxes or media sticks with KODI installed and configured for sale on Craigslist. You can try KODI by installing it on a computer first to see if you like it.
Maybe a combination of both.
