Diy 3.5mm male both ends cable

Hello,
well i'm connecting my pc to my tv and i have plug the vga cable in, the video works fine but theres no sound coming out of the tv speakers.
I found out that i needed an extra cable for the sound, so im trying to make a diy 3.5mm cable that has the male both ends.
I have got a few broken earphones and am asking if i could cut the male ends off two headphones and join those together, if anyone knows how please tell me.

more than likely the 3.5mm jack connection on ur tv is a output, so in ur case u might nees a 3.5mm ( for PC ) to AV connection (for ur tv) cable.

Well there is no AV connection port that goes with the VGA input (for the pc video). anyway, ive just borrowed the 3.5mm cable from a friend and turns out that it worked. 😀
