I may be going out on a limb here but I'm wondering if the AT&T uverse HD converter could be causing my Samsung DLP Lamps to blow? I converted in Aug of '08 - lamp blew in Dec (original lamp 2 yrs old)... so I replaced the original lamp in Dec and now my second just went out - only 90 days old...Does anyone think the AT&T converter could be having an impact or am I just blessed with a shotty bulb?

I doubt the converter is a problem, However I've notice the some TV programs are very bright and high contrast, especially if played from a converter. I maybe due to up-converting or maybe just the digital conversion. I don't know if your provider have the same issue.

Unless you open the bulb cover and blow an air condition directly - one way to increase the life of your DLP bulb is to rest the TV after playing it for three to four hours. Do not play the TV more than 5 hours if room temperature is above 20C/70F degree.
