Do you need a version 1.3 hdmi for 3D?

I got a 3D TV cheaply but it says you need a 1.4 hdmi... I think mine is 1.3...

what happens if i use a 1.3 hdmi cable instead of 1.4? will the picture be lower quality or something? does it affect the 3D quality?

You can still play 3D with 1.3 cable. as long as the distance is not too great. I would say within 25ft.
What's the source? 3D Blu-Ray player?

Yeah its a 3D BR Player... so will the 3D effect be less protruding?
