Solved! DVD player wont play on TCL smart tv

I have chosen DVD player, have connected with RCA cable and it says "no signal" not sure what to do now......?

Without makes and model numbers we can't know what connections you have on the TV and DVD player.
If you connected it with yellow, red and white RCA connections you may need to set the TV to composite video in the TV menu.
