Hello,
I want to move my living room furniture and my cable to my DVR box isn't long enough to reach the new spot. The cable is coming from my basement up through my floor. Is there a connector, adapter or extender I can use to make it longer and if yes, what is it called? Thank you.

A barrel connector allows hooking two cables together, to extend the original cable. An RG-6 cable can be bought in various lengths, from radio shack, or electronics store. Easy to do and pretty cheap to buy.
