faulty power supply?

My aspireE1-531 wont fully recharge and the 'battery mode'kicks in and out constantly,suggesting that there is a ''blockage'in the ac power supply.Is this a worry? Will it work just on AC if I remove the battery?Still under warranty but cant do without it...unless its about to explode!

Take it back seeing its still under warranty. Could be charger. Could be battery. Could be both.
