format sd card

I have 16gb Samsung SD card i tried to format like cmd, windows it is not formatted it show all content pls solve it

A new SD card shouldn't really need formatting to work in a device. They come set up (most of the time). That said, if the card was already formatted or encoded to a specific device (say a tablet, phone, camera, etc.) then those files may not be readable by other devices. An example is with SD cards that have been converted to be "Internal" storage for a phone. The card would then not be readable by any other device.
