FPS spikes .

My rig is :

Nvidia GTX 980m
16gb ram
I7-4710HQ


Problem :

I am getting fps spikes like crazy . When playing games like CSGO . My fps is 100-200 and it can drop to 20-40 and it jumps back up to 100-200 fps again . and few seconds later it drops to 20-40 . My drivers are up to date and my power plan has all been set to the highest performance . I dont think it is overheating because when i put my hand near the laptop's exhaust . It dosent feel hot .

Network conditions can affect FPS. What happens with local games?

It doesnt feel hot isnt good enough. Try to check your temps while these lag spikes happen.

Its 40 degrees when it is lagging .

Network conditions can affect FPS. What happens with local games?

I tried using lan cable too and my internet speed is 300mb/s
