gaming headset / mic + headphones (have a shortlist) need views/experiences with them.

hi there,

so i've narrowed it down to the following, purely for gaming. all around the £80 mark.

1. hyperx cloud 2
2. audio technica mx20 + modmic 4.0
3. audio technica mx20 + clip on mic of some kind

i'm looking to buy an asus xonar dg 5.1 soundcard for whatever i get.

does anyone have any views on the above from personal experience or if one of those options jumps out as the clear victor let me know, also if there is another headset / headphone + mic combo you suggest please let me know.

a desk mic may be doable in the future (like the blue or at2020) but i don't want it to pick any noise from keyboards and other people, hence the closed headphones too ;-).

also i assume i could ditch the hypers usb 7.1 and plug into my sound card for a better experience? i would lose the ability to control volume / mute that way though right?

would love to get the senns game headsets but out of my budget.

if it helps i'm looking specifically for it to be used for in game communication and also live streaming my gameplay.

I can help you on one thing and that is that the hyper x-cloud 1 is awsome. Same with the 2. Im using one now and its really robust and easy to use.

i play with my friends in-game and mine is the best mic. Easy to hear

You can maybe search for a USB sound card if you are in a budget
